We offer high quality education in a safe and caring country environment. We want your child's first steps into the learning world to be fun, imaginative and educational.
We have been operating for over 35 years and for the past 16 years have been located at 1303 Tram Road, on the Swannanoa School grounds. Our centre is a beautiful modern environment with extensive outdoor areas that reflect our natural surroundings. Our environments continue to evolve as the needs of our tamariki and whānau change.
Swannanoa Preschool is community based and it is this sense of community that gives us our unique character. Parents and whānau are a very important part of this and have much to contribute. You are welcome at the centre at any time to share ideas, discuss your child's development or just spend time with your child here at preschool.

The level of care given to ***** while at Swannanoa Preschool has been simply outstanding. All teachers are motivated and focused on making the tamariki’s experiences as positive as possible. I am amazed at Lorraine’s ability to know everyone by name so quickly – go Lorraine! It must be hard putting little ‘part – timers’ at ease. Everyone has done a really good job of not making us (the part time family) and child feel ‘half there’, thank you for the extra effort at being totally inclusive for us – from organisation, emails and admin to teaching, caring and communicating. Can be easy in a big set up for families not there daily to feel missed out – we didn’t feel that way, thank you.
